Obliscence, Theories of Forgetting and the Problem of Matter
Of course you know about the Museum of Jurassic Technology, right? I assume you must, if you also know about the Athanasius Kircher Society. It’s a one-man venture in Venice Beach that mixes a Borgesian sentiment with Fortean energy.
I mention it now lest I forget it in due course: Sonnabend’s Cone of Obliscence is the second-best thing there, after those ants zombified and craziated by fungi that drive them to attempt what no ant in its own (to say nothing of right) mind would.
It’s the single most Cthulhuvian thing I know. And I wouldn’t be mentioning it now if Robin Laws hadn’t actuated me.
