Need a new Monster Manual? Matt Kish provides

Remember Matt Kish of One Drawing for Every Page of Moby-Dick fame? He’s steadily putting all his old work online, and I’ve been enjoying his series of “strange satellites.” Some of these are obviously angels, others seem more like leviathans or zaratans – things you might live on for years, all unawares, as they wander the fecund celestial void.

My favourite is perhaps flying-not-swimming. Even if you don’t like the art, some of the names – The Grinning Psychopomp, Air-Walking Calefactor, The Feathered Vastness – are deliciously Vancian.

Elsewhere, Let’s Play: Ancient Greek Punishment.

More thoughtful, considered blogging to come.

I’m at 20 losses on Sisyphus, but I think I got one pixel higher last time.

At the very least, these look like who you’re put in contact with when casting “Contact Higher Plane.”
